Q. I have finished most of my basic courses in college but I cannot decide what to go into, of course I want to go into a career that will not be outsourced and something that I will hopefully enjoy. I have known a few people with degrees in psychology and most couldn't find jobs above Intern until they had their Phd in hand. One was able to do a research job for the VA with only a Masters, but it was a special project that lasted less than a year. The university I went to now has a special program to go directly from BS to Phd in Psychology. Statistics is another unusual field as from what I've seen there are very few real jobs outside educational institutes and as you probably already know, instructors are paid by their degree and not their teaching, so this also requires a Phd to make a decent living.
